Printing & list downloads

Every roster in BirthTracks carries the same list toolbar, and every chart, record and list can be printed. Exporting and printing are reads: they’re available to every tier, so a Viewer can download and print even where they can’t edit.

Above each roster sit the selection and export controls:

  • Selection (toggles to Hide selection) — opens the panel for choosing a time window, filters and extra columns.
  • CSV, Excel and PDF — download the current list in that format (Download CSV / Download Excel / Download PDF).
  • Print list — a print-ready layout of the whole list.
  • Print selected (<count>) — when you’ve ticked rows, prints just those, in the same layout.

Inside the selection panel you can set a time window (with from / to dates), apply Filters (optional), and tick Additional variables“Ticked variables become columns on the table, exports and printed list.” Clear selection resets your ticked rows.

The rosters that carry this toolbar include Patients, Pregnant patients, Transfers, Procedures and the Records list.

Beyond the list toolbar, individual records print on their own:

  • Print a patient chart — the patient’s chart, print-formatted.
  • Print a birth record — a single birth, print-formatted.
  • Print a record — a filing record from the Records area.
  • Print a list — each roster (patients, births, procedures) has a print-list view, the same one the toolbar’s Print list button opens.

All print and download actions carry the full PHI-access middleware, so they’re audited like every other read of patient data.

  • Import from CSV — bring records in from another system.
  • Exports — accreditation, benchmarking and research extracts.
