Statistics

The Statistics page is where you build your own views of your practice’s data, rather than reading the fixed summaries on the Dashboard. As on the rest of analytics, only completed births count.

Picking what to measure

Above the views, a shared picker chooses what every tab measures — the variable to chart, the cohort scope, and the data type. The picker is the single source of selection for every tab, so switching tabs keeps your choices.

The data type decides which entity you’re counting:

• Patient
• Pregnancy
• Baby
• Birth
• Procedures

Choosing Procedures counts off your practice’s own procedure records by the provider who performed them.

The four views

A segmented control switches between four views:

• Time series — a variable tracked over time.
• Distribution — how records break down across the values of a variable, with small buckets suppressed to protect privacy.
• Comparison — set a left and a right cohort and compare them side by side. This is how you compare providers within your practice, rather than a single “all providers” caseload view.
• Birth numbers — the legacy birth-numbers table, whose periods are fixed by the table it reproduces (so the picker is hidden on this tab).

Note

Distributions hide buckets that are too small to show without risking re-identification, so a category with only a handful of records may not appear.
